We walk, observe, and soak things in. I’ll share little perception prompts to help you catch a few sparks of magic in everyday city life. The creative prompts are inspired by The Art of Noticing by Rob Walker.

We stroll with open eyes and ears along the canal — the neighborhood where I grew up as a Kreuzberg kid.

You’ll write quietly for yourself. No pressure to share anything, though we’ll have space to exchange thoughts if you feel like it.

Spring is here! The days are getting longer and more light and spaciousness are returning to our minds.

Maybe you're already sensing the first signs of change: a thought that flashes through your mind, a new desire that wants to be heard, a slight shift in rhythm. Or maybe you don't feel anything at all yet, but would like to set intentions for this new season.

In this journaling session, we say bye bye to winter and open the door to spring.

What are you letting go of? What do you want to take with you into your future? What new things do you want to invite into existence? What would you like to continue to grow?

I’ll guide you through a series of journaling prompts inspired by Solution-Focused coaching and creative writing. Everyone writes quietly for themselves — nothing needs to be shared.

At the end, you are welcome to share a few thoughts or simply slip quietly into spring with your coffee... or champagne.

Under Katti’s guidance, small creative texts will take shape on your page, and you get to play with language — far beyond the horror of German grammar and bureaucracy. Your German levels up as you experiment with words and find your own way into the language.
 

You’re welcome to write quietly for yourself, with no pressure to share anything. At the same time, you can ask Katti any language or vocab question that comes up while you’re writing. We’ll also have space for exchange — if you feel like it.

All writing levels and all German levels welcome.

I'll be reading from my essay "Conversations about timelessness, speechlessness and the so-called childfree life". It’s about my decision not to have children of my own — and the oceans of time that opened up in front of me once I stepped out of the timeline that used to define me.

The essay was published as part of NOT ONLY MOTHERS WERE PREGNANT, a project that brings together voices often left out of conversations on fertility, pregnancy, and parenting.

I will be reading alongside Jacinta Nandi, KAy Garnellen, Jennifer Lotsi, Constanze Schwärzer, Svetlana Kosti. The initiator of the project, wonderful artist, curator, and writerl Alisa Tretau will be facilitating.

The event is part of "Reproductive Futures - Feminist Visions for Equitable Care" organized by the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
